The service and quality of work was very good, right up until I paid. Within one hour of the invoice coming in, I had paid in full. But no one has emailed an acknowledgement of this, or thanked me for prompt payment as they did last year. I also had to contact Certass as the job involved work on two houses and I only received a certificate for one. I have not received an insurance backed warranty yet.

Very good result in the end, felt uninformed during the long lead time about when to expect installation. Windows were not made to specification but an agreement was made and workmanship and tidiness were very good during installation.

I had a new Origin front door and rear patio doors installed on the same day. All work was carried out very professionally and to a high standard by a team of four. They took great care to minimise disruption to our home and were very thorough in clearing up afterwards. After living in my home for 40 years, I was very apprehensive about changing the original windows to new double glazed units. With the situation regarding energy prices the time had come to make the transition. After a few quotes from companies I didn’t feel comfortable with, a friend recommended Portland Glass. I liked their business manner immediately and I felt they would do justice to my home. I discussed my budget and they came up with suggestions and designs that I hadn’t thought of! Five tradesmen arrived on the day - all really nice and knew exactly what they were doing - three days later, I have a house full of new and efficient windows that look exactly like the ones they took out. My only regret is that I hadn’t done it sooner - but then I didn’t know Portland Glass
