Everything went smoothly.
A tile was broken in the bathroom which was not declared by the fitter before he left. We chose not to make an issue of it as the bathroom will be refitted shortly which will include retiling.
Were not advised about expansion of door in direct sunlight. Door has been difficult to close and lock.

Felt that the fitters were in a rush and therefore were sloppy with there installation and made mistakes.
Having used a different company to install similar windows previously, we felt that the quality of product was not as good (albeit cheaper). I would therefore recommend the previous company to friends and relatives over Britannia.
The fitter Paul, was very polite, careful and professional, in installing the new front door to my property.
Customer service has been very good with regular emails and mobile phone updates and calls, but see below. Both fitters were very polite. Both arrived at the times they said. Windows were correct and a near replacement to those being replaced. Workmanship given a 9 as I spotted a couple of small areas that needed sealing. Tidiness marked as 8 as on one day, an old window had been removed, there was a hole in the wall and a torrential downpour happened, plus hailstones. But the guys were nowhere to be seen. I was concerned as rain and hail came in. They turned up a couple of minutes later and did put more sheets down. Overall, and luckily, no water damage that can be seen.
I am still awaiting a missing piece to be fitted, which is the outer vent cap on one of the windows. Still awaiting a call as to when this will be fitted one week after they finished.
Work were not monitored during, before or after installation which we were assured would happen when placing the order
Work carried out quickly but was chaotic as just blitzed through the work and not as per assumed programme.
Whilst dust sheets etc. were initially in place they were not kept properly in position. Had to be asked twice to hoover up on one day.
Whilst the main works were ok, finishing such as sealing around windows were incomplete and the old damaged beading around the front door was reused instead of new. Snags such as fixing sticking windows and patio door should have been resolved on installation..Two further visits visits were needed before snags were complete. It is not helpful when fitters say any defects would be carried out by Britannia’s engineers and then the engineers saying this should have been done by the fitters.
At time of placing the order we asked for the existing clear opening on the patio door to be maintained which was not done. Although an engineer came to look at it he said it was unlikely unable to improve the opening due to the door design. He said he would look into this but we have had any further contact
We did have a few issues along the way. The fitters seemed to know what was happening and told us that they had relayed the issues and the relevant information to the internal staff but it went dead from there. The installation started in October and has only just been completed.
Had a very bad experience with my installation date being cancelled – at the 59th second of the 59th minute of the 11th hour !
Fortunately the re arranged installation went well and very pleased with Mike the window fitter & the product . He saved Britannia’s reputation.

Following initial ‘hiccup’ with supply of correct ironmongery, the matter was resolved amicably. The final product, installation and workmanship is excellent.
The two fitters were always on time , took great care, were engaging and generally very conscientious. They were a pleasure to have in our home.

The main installation was fine, but windows didn’t close without rubbing and this took the best part of 3 months and many many visits by different people for some reason.

Workmanship was messy and of poor standard. Damage caused by the contractors / fitters on installation of the windows both inside and outside was repaired to a very poor and totally unacceptable standard. The contractors were given a second opportunity to make good the damage and repairs – the second attempt was equally as poor so we ended up carrying out all the repair work and making good and finishing ourselves. The complaint we raised with the Customer Service was ignored for 2.5 months – evidence and photographs were supplied. This claim was also raised via the finance company. Contract
The product that I have seems very good and I am very pleased with it.When the fitters were on site and had all the relevant parts required work was very good.The problem I encountered was installations being booked and then not happening. The communication re this wasn�t very good at times. It seems this happens a lot whereas to sort these issues it wouldn�t seem to be too difficult and the customer experience would be so much better.

Wrong window manufactured and installed. Fitters did a lot of damage to our house inside and outside, some of which is irreparable (e.g.Brickwork and use of silicone sealant to attach trimming we did not want and had not agreed to.)Left a lot of mess including oily marked walls, blinds which they took down with oily hands,and left the room which was wallpapered in need of redecoration. However they did send more competent fitters to install correct window and repair as much damage as they could. Customer service was responsive and empathetic. couldn’t fault the installers or the man who came to do the survey. He gave excellent advice regarding style of windows and explained all the costs and options. customer service from admin staff over the phone was also very good.
I feel the customer service personnel did not offer a service however, when chased for information and updates they were efficient.Checking the order was correctly produced and before loading out to customer was poor. Colour of my front door was incorrect however the delivery paperwork was correct. I believe after the production a blind eye was turned all the way through to the door being hung. A window was missing on day 1, arrived day 3.The 2 installers were very nice, punctual and did a good job as far as I can see. I am disabled so restricted mobility.

Too many cancelled appointments.
The installation was a disaster. Overall it has taken them 3 months and many visits and chasing to complete what should have been a 3 to 4 day job.The initial fitters were poor and had to be replaced. They had a 50% attendance record, turn up at minimimal notice, not turn up at all and left work incomplete, damaged property and new glass. Windows had not been shipped with the brackets for the astrical bars so they were stuck on with tape instead and came away.It took three inspections by Britania to twig this. All the windows had to be removed and refitted again. In general Britania didnt seem to know how to fit their product and it took a lot of to and frowing to sort out. They also sent an invoice for full final payment rather than a credit note to close the agreed account balance.
Missed the scheduled installation date and did not communicate this was going to happen on the day. Otherwise an excellent job.
A very good product let down by a rushed and poorly finished installation over a period of 2 .5 days. A follow up day 2 weeks later by 2 installers was required to achieve a reasonable standard of finish.

I had so many problems that I cannot even begin to detail them. They were finally put right 6 weeks after installation but it has been extremely stressful. The installations manager and another manager have done all they can to put it right since the job but I absolutely would never recommend Britannia again

The contractor took on a project that they were not capable of fulfilling satisfactorily. Time keeping poor. Lots of revisits required.
Workmanship not to the standard you would expect. Did not put fome between extrusion and brick work,so they came back and put double beading on outside of extrusion which looks a mess and does not rectify the problem. Draughty comes through the door hinges so they came and put a piece of draught excluder around the hinges.
I answer this has the wind is howling through one of my windows that still does not fit after 9 visits and the refusal of a new window replacement
The initial faults were made good quickly
There is only one small point I would make about the contractor. I placed the order with the Clevedon branch of Britannia Windows and agreed the installation date with the same office. Upon the installation date the 2 window installers arrived from the Bristol branch of the company. This in no way affected the quality of the installation. However, I would have liked to have been kept informed of this change.
I’ve only seen photos of the windows from my sister as I live overseas but she informs me they are great and she has very high standards . There was slight mix up over window installation but the problem was rectified straight away.
I�ve had 3 different installations from the supplier, every installation has been delayed, poor customer service. Their online system for invoices is not inline with the installation dates so get billed 2nd & 3rd payments before any installations or delays.
It would have been 10 across the board but my only criticism is that no protective sheets were used to walk through the house to access upstairs bedroom. Thankfully it was a dry day.Contractor was very efficient and polite. Thank you.

Excellent, friendly service from the sales team, surveyor and installer regarding the product. However, information concerning guarantee, insurance and certification was poor; most notably: – email stating “terms and conditions of guarantee are within your contract” – if they are they are well hidden, – contractor made no mention of 3rd party insurance guarantee by QANW and was unable to understand my concern regarding arrival of unexpected, unsolicited email, which made no reference to contractor or work carried out, inviting me to open attachments. Had to call QANW to verify that it was

The company were aggressive with seeking payment.. I paid on time and the remaining 10 % was wanted on the first day of installation, I refused as I wanted to be satisfied with the installation. There were issues which were addressed, unfortunately the same team came back to rectify the issues.No one has contacted me to ask if I’m pleased with the installation which I find quite rude.I’m pleased with the installation now, but because of the lack of interest from the installer I wouldn’t recommend them.

What makes this company is the product and the fitters. We had Luke and Ben they were brilliant
Punctual, tidy, polite and efficient installer. Door frame was not quite deep enough to make a close fit at sill level so installer had to build up the threshold with plastic spacers and expanding foam which was OK but now, under the sill there is an untidy gap and exposed DPC. I would have preferred that this space was made up flush with the finished wall surface with expanding foam or cement.
Contractor was punctual, polite and efficient. No mess was left. Absolutely no complaints, I’m very happy with his work.

Made a lot of initial mistakes measuring the windows. Took a long time to make the windows. Installing went badly with most of the units and we are after 18 weeks still waiting for a window and for door panels to be replaced. The installers varied in ability, some were very good, some were terrible.

This is the second time we have used Britannia Windows and we have found them very easy to deal with.
I had an absolutely brilliant experience with Britannia. They did a good job, cleared up, were quick and efficient, and gave me advice at the end of the installation. Also, the French doors I had fitted in place of old patio doors are absolutely stunning and make my room look very classy.

The wording in the contract could be improved. We thought all ‘dummy’ windows were the same (we had had one previously) but a small dummy window was provided with the non-working frame of an opening window – not what we wanted which was just plain glass. This has caused much angst and has had to be replaced. Other than this the installation and product were excellent and the office staff have done all they can to help.

Initial progress was slow. Difficult on occasions to contact supplier but they were very persistent on quick settlement of stage payments. Final product was very good and the installers were excellent in their care and tidyness.

The installation contractor was great, worked very cleanly and efficient.Unfortunately this was overshadowed by Box�d who failed to deliver the boiler and their customer service was disgusting. They wouldn�t answer the phone to us or the contractor and the contractor was on site for almost 3 days waiting for a boiler to arrive as they had took our heating out during the first 4 hours on site so they didn�t want to go off to another in case the boiler turned up as we had no heating or hot water for 3 days.
The job was replacing French doors to the front of the propertyI would not recommend the Aluminium threshold as it sweats in cold weather.

Paul and his son who fitted the windows were brilliant. Both were friendly and professional and tidied up after themselves. One window had been made slightly too small, Paul explained about getting a replacement and sorted everything out. The personal service provided by Paul was outstanding.
I was disappointed in the admin as we have used this company twice before. There seemed to be little communication between departments. Also, the initial specification had to be changed by the surveyor as the salesperson had not drawn it up as agreed. However, apart from that, I would still use this contractor as it is a local firm and the workmen did their job quickly and efficiently.

The largest window frame was the correct size but the glazed unit was constructed the wrong size resulting in considerable delay when property was not secure.The surveyor identified that trickle vents were required in two units but it took three further visits to rectify this correctly.
Our door was ordered and paid for, the wrong colour door was delivered to be fitted and we luckily identified this as it had not been checked prior to fitting. We then had to chase a replacement order
Process from quote to installation took ages. Stage payment process is inefficient and holds up progress, especially as payment link does not work (apparently a common issue from staff comments). Installation itself was to a high standard.

Overall a good experience but some of the attention to detail, the trim was disappointing.
Was expecting the internal window sill to be replaced as it was not in perfect condition.

After sales service – difficult to get hold of anyone
Contractor failed to instal trickle vent to downstairs toilet window at time of manufacture and returned to fit at a later date. The window itself was smaller than we had been led to believe therefore reducing the amount of light. After rainfall the front door drips rain across the hallway floor when opened. Contractor returned to adjust the drip bar but failed to address the problem.

Very pleased with product, workmanship and installation. Britannia windows is only let down by customer services – difficult to get a response from anyone in the office when queries arose. The marketing manager was however prompt at responding.

Really good administration which made it easy to follow the payment steps, when things would happen and also a rescheduling when the fitter was ill.

Appealing customer care. No one replies to emails or phone calls. I have even had to email the CEO in order to try and get this certificate. The windows were fitted last June and I have been chasing this certificate ever since. Will tell all my family, friends and anyone else looking for windows or doors to avoid Britannia Windows at all costs.
Lack of communication. Wrong beading fitted so it fell out. Had to ask several times for manager to call me regarding the work.
