We recently had new windows installed by Global Windows and are extremely pleased with both the service and the end result.
The two fitters, Andy and Lee, were professional from start to finish. They treated our home with great respect, were polite and courteous throughout, and kept us fully informed whenever anything needed adjusting, explaining the reasons clearly. Their workmanship was excellent, and the overall fit and finish of the windows is far superior to any we have had installed previously.
The difference inside the house was noticeable almost immediately. Outside noise has been significantly reduced, and even during hi wind conditions there are no draughts at all. The improvement in comfort has been remarkable.
Overall, we are delighted with the quality of the installation and the professionalism of the team, and we would not hesitate to recommend Global Windows to others.

I recently had 10 new windows, 2 doors and French doors installed at our 4-bed detached home in Sheffield by Global Windows, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the entire experience. From start to finish, the service was exceptional.

The quality of the windows and doors is outstanding – solid, secure, beautifully finished, and a real upgrade to the look and feel of the house. I particularly loved the composite front door, the stylish hardware, the handles, the oak duraboard windowsills, which polished everything off perfectly. All doors also came with three sets of keys. The attention to detail during installation was truly impressive, and the workmanship was efficient and flawless.

What stood out even more was the professionalism of Global Windows as a company. Every department and team member played their part perfectly. From the initial quotation and survey, through to fitting, aftercare, invoicing, issuing the guarantee/certificate – it all ran like absolute clockwork. Yes…. I would recommend as to their workmanship in fitting and Customer Service up to the point where some things went wrong and it was revealed that this company has a set of draconian Terms and Conditions which were used quite aggressively in my view so as to avoid their responsibilities in costly re-manufacture of some parts of the contract when mistakes had been made between themselves and the fabricator. We did, after months of delay, settle with them but the way in which they acted using their dubious terms and conditions necessitated my taking legal action to resolve the matter.

I just had my windows installed and I am very happy with the quality of the windows. The two men that installed them were very professional and polite and kept me informed throughout. The door was fitted properly on the second visit but had to be redone.There is still a mess on the door step with residue of a white solution.This will not come off and looks shabby.The first fitters did not complete the job properly.Additional time had to be taken off work so it could be redone.

10 years ago Global erected a garden room for us and replaced all our external doors and windows. Over that time they have responded quickly if we have had any issues.As a result I recently called them to replace the rotting timber framed windows on our Garage / Workshop. Again they have done an excellent job.

After installation we found that the door furniture (knocker) was of a much lower quality than the door, the contractor advised that they were unable to do anything about it.

My installation (whole house) was completed by iteration at various stages of my home refurb. The last team were less particular about the finish and cleanliness of my product than the earlier teams, possibly due to other building work still being in progress.Snags have been dealt with immediately, without fuss and to my complete satisfaction.

Installation was generally good. This installer did not have the attention to detail previous team had. This one left a lot of black handprints on surfaces (interior walls). Windows weren’t cleaned well. Kitchen window has sticky residue and bathroom has pen marks saying ‘SI 70’ that are proving awkward to clean.

I’d discussed when they came to do the survey installing a new door bell same site as old one. The man said this would be fine, when the fitters came they said they wouldn’t do it as hadn’t been put on the job sheet. This was disappointing and I would have been stuck without one, but a family member agreed to fit it for me at a later time. The original fitted door handle was damaged. notified same day as had already left house. this was replaced a week later with another damaged one and then ordered another, third time satisfactory. The customer service man Dave communicated well and every appointment staff arrived promptly, were polite and tidy. Would definitely recommend as although some issues they sorted out the problems with the handle and some scratches with no fuss.

I had a few issues with maufacturing faults in the glass and beading. All was rectified .

On both days of fitting the window and door in my conservatory they were working with dreadful weather. When they removed the whole side it was the day it started snowing!! They must have been freezing and soaked but they persevered in order to get the new one installed. They had to return another day to finish it off. Unfortunately for them it was a really wet day but they didn’t falter and when they left they took all the rubbish with them… two very pleasant young men.

The office staff and sales staff are pleasant, amenable and efficient. Likewise the installers. I would highly recommend this company to anyone seeking to have PVC windows and doors installed.

There were issues around communication between members of staff/directors and myself. When the windows were installed, some sealant work was not finished because the scaffolding was in the way. I was told someone would return to complete the job, but they didn’t. It took a while for someone to come and apply the sealant, and no-one seemed to know the work hadn’t been done. I then received notification that someone was coming on a certain day, but he didn’t arrive, and I wasn’t informed of this. I had to chase the job up again. There was confusion. also. about the fact that I was given a grant towards the work. The salesman knew all about the grant, and how and when it would be paid, but the Director wrote to me complaining that I hadn’t paid, and didn’t know all the details.

It’s not the man who fitted the door it’s the company supplying the door..The product is not fit for purpose..the composite warps so you can force it open but have no chance of locking it.They have been back and changed the composite slab,but the very next day the new slab had warped so much I couldn’t open it..they came back and released the pressure but its still the same.

As an autistic person, I usually find organising and having contractors at my home incredibly stressful. But these guys made it so easy. They were incredibly tidy and respectful, and worked so hard and quickly and professionally with no fuss and they finished off things so they looked beautiful too. They took care and pride in their work and they were kind too. Obviously just had the windows and doors installed, so can’t really report on the long term quality product yet, but as far as service and fitting goes, I would recommend them to anyone.

Have used Global windows for the past 17 years on different fixtures will not use again or recommend due to dissatisfaction with fitting, damage on window frame, marks can still be seen on frame, stain damage on our brickwork due to spillage. Felt as though fitters rushed the job completed in less than 3 hours and was their only job of the day. Silicone around frame disgraceful. Windows not cleaned. Customer service we felt was poor, I drew attention to completing customer satisfaction form and handing back to the fitters that this could cause confrontation we were not prepared to be involved with. The only positive I can give is their 2 guys who came out to rectify some of the faults were marvellous. Very disappointed was promised a 4 star product and service which we rate poor.

Not my field of expertise so don’t know if it’s a good job or not but do have concerns about some of the installation but who do I get to assess as the company will only say what is in their best interest not particulary mine? or am I supposed to pay another 3rd party to advise?. Also simple things that could and should have been avoided by better communication between the sales, surveyors and installation teams.

Very good about moving the work to the nearest possible suitable date after I fell ill at the time we had originally arranged. Only drawback was that the company sub-contracted to erect the scaffolding didn’t take it down for over a week after the work was done: but even that was swiftly sorted within a day after I let Crystal Clear know.

Brilliant. Really tidy and worked so hard to make sure the door trim fitted our wonky walls.

The product itself is great, the fitting leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn’t use them again and certainly wouldn’t recommend. It took around 10 weeks to complete the job and I felt harassed for payment several times when the job wasn’t anywhere near completed. We chose them as we thought that just being a window company it would be straight forward as that’s all they do day in day out , how wrong we were!

Asked for payment before job completion despite outstanding issues. Installed door frame and burried important burglar alarm wire (they asked for payment before rectifying this huge mistake)After installers left discovered paint chipping off all over doors and handles damaged. (On going issue) Incorrect handles installed to begin with. (This issue is now resolved)Door not closing properly after just 1 month. (This issue is now resolved)

The score would have been higher had there not been some internal company issues which we never quite got a handle on.

Very flexible with date which they stuck with. This was a heat help to me as we went away and when I returned the neighbours said they had been thorough and worked well.

We had lots of problems with the glass being scratched and had to wait a number of months for the replacements. The front door was also faulty and wasn’t fitted properly, however, after 9 months they have all been replaced. My only suggestion would be is quality check your product before you send to the customer and change your glass supplier if they can’t produce the high quality that is promised.

From first visiting the Global showroom to completion of installation of windows we were completely satisfied. Everyone was focused on customer satisfaction. Every person who we dealt with – showroom staff, Sales Designer, Window Surveyor, office staff, scaffolders and window fitting team was courteous and polite. The installation of the windows required removal of brickwork in order to insert exterior lintel/angle irons and the installer clearly had the expertise and attention to detail for this job.The installation of the bifold door was not straightforward either as the walls were not at 90 degrees. Currently the bifold doors are operating efficiently so I think the installers and the method of installation overcame this difficulty.I felt that Global Windows is a firm that can be trusted and would highly recommend them.

Lower mark for customer service simply comes from mistake by one of the admin staff which led to two week delay to refit wrong sized windows and inability to use room as my wife’s office during that period. However, replacements were fitted as soon as they could be secured from the frame supplier and the final fitting appears to be good quality.

The contractors took pride in their work and were hardworking, polite and tidy.

Repeated issues of incorrect specification products being supplied for installation and also damage to products once correct spec was finally supplied. Quality assurance could have been better between the contractor (installer) and the product supplier to avoid it having been reliant on me the customer having to spot and raise issues, otherwise I would have received inferior products to what was contracted. Very good workmanship once correct products were finally supplied.

Issues with the original fitting of the bay window, however to be fair to Global they did acknowledge the issue and fix the situation quickly and without fuss.

Andy and his colleagues were fabulous and I would certainly want him to do any other jobs I need in the future. There were a few errors in measuring the bay windows and in ordering some of the other windows which resulted in considerable delay to part of the installation. After site meetings all issues were resolved satisfactorily however and they were genuinely apologetic about the problems caused. As a result we are happy to use them again for some remaining windows that need replacing.

9 of 16 windows were fitted off centre but there was no quibbles when asked to come back and refit which they did. Likewise a handle that was broken was replaced in a timely way.

Having previously used Global Windows, we were more than happy to ask them to do this current work. They responded quickly to our request for the work and sent out a person to do some initial measurements and costings. Then a few weeks later someone came to do more exacting measurements. Both visits were carried out at a time convenient to us. Everything was clearly explained at each stage including the longer than normal delivery date due to the pandemic etc. The work was carried out in one day and everything was done to a high standard – no mess was left. We are very pleased.

Have used them three times (here and my previous house) before without any issues. This time there was problems with most of the handles which have had to be reordered. They weren’t checked at time of installation therefore I had a call and explain the issue, which I found the following day, this took time to investigate. Full payment had been made on the installation day (1.11.21) and new handles will be fitted (10.1.22) as I was not available on the December date.

Had numerous faults, windows measured wrong, marks on glass, shoot bolts missing from windows & some poor fitting on some of my windows, first set of window fitters seemed a little rough & not much care taken.

Three doors fitted. Patio door missing top trim. French door handle difficult to operate and needed adjustment. Front door draining channel held water. All eventually rectified but two months after installation and only after we chased it up. The paperwork got filed away without guarantees being done. Again this was sorted once we chased it up. Maybe they should have someone inspect the installations once complete to check the work.

They was very professional and everything i asked for they complied with and when fitting the windows they followed all the rules due to covid and left everything clean and tidy would recommend anyone i know if they are having new windows or doors.

They replaced faulty glass 3 times without quibble. They repaired the doors when we advised that water was pouring in through them. Their fitters were all timely and worked hard and did a good job.

Customer services from the sales team is excellent. The fitting team arrived when they should, the windows seem to be fitted well and cleaned them before they left.But they need to take more care in ensure they take all mess away with them, they left 2 large screws from the old windows on my gravel driveway, also there was a lot of chatting and sitting around when they were only fitting 2 windows, one fitter spent half his time on the phone to a friend.

The ratings I have given are due to problems with difficulty in locking the door and requiring an new lock and already requiring a new hinge. As it is only a few weeks since having the door installed I am a little concerned.

Finished product looks good but when renovating around it we found shortcuts had been taken behind the scenes eg floor plate balanced on bricks and stuck down with expanding foam. Drip plate at top not supplied or fitted although Global are coming back to do that, after being chased 3.5 weeks later. Actual date of work is not until 4 weeks after that. Brickwork not finished properly. Clear sealant used instead of brown even though we were assured the door would match our existing.

although generally ok the order comprised a new window with internal window sill and an external composite door.The internal window sill was not sent at the time of installation 1/9/21 and is now due on 27/9/21.once the fitter had left we noticed a chip on the outside of the black door – showing as a white chip – plus scuff marks and a stained yellow substance on both the exterior window sill and door sill. After some effort on our part these will also be addressed on 27th.
