Our general experience has been good, however on payment of the bifold deposit. I phoned Swadlincote windows to confirm this had gone through as had had no information regarding the payment was successful or the bifolds had been ordered or when they were likely to arrive. This was a very large payment, and they said they had no information about my order, that the windows had not been yet measured. This was incredibly stressful at the time, as this was a few weeks after the measurement and was hoping for the windows to be delivered shortly. After a very confusing 20 minute phone call the order was found and there was already an installation date booked in. Other than that I had a great experience from customer service, measurement and fitting.

The only other feedback was that the installers left without any kind of handover, which I would have expected with the windows being so expensive, even just giving me the keys would have been nice. I would have also liked to have been told about maintenance and operation, but after a bit of Youtube and the documents I have now received, I should be able to keep them in good condition.

Very pleased with the new door and the speed in which it was installed. The fitters cleared everything up afterwards and took all rubbish away. Would definitely recommend Swadlincote Windows.

Generally very good, Very freindly Family feel to the operation, unfortunately although replaced render wasnt painted and the finish on the rear of the property was not as good as the front but they did come back and rectify this. But we still need to get someone to come and paint around the windows.

Would I recommend this contractor – yes and no. Poor customer service, good value for money. Friendly workman but beware of the lack of communication.

Swadlincote windows offer products of a high standard. From a visit to the show room to the final installation all of the staff have been friendly and knowledgeable. However for their own wellbeing the installers should be wearing the ppe supplied to them.

I was very disappointed to have been contacted the day before my initial appointment, and told that the door frame had been damaged and they had to order another. As a result, the initial appointment was cancelled by the contractors. The first convenient appointment was 2 weeks later. That said the workmen arrived on time and worked really hard.

I would definitely recommend Swadlincote windows. Customer service staff are always extremely helpful and the window fitters listened and tried to resolve my issues as quickly as possible. I didn’t find the initial site visit particularly helpful, but when I requested a second visit for additional guidance this was organised as quickly as possible by the company. Communication issues did cause some problems as some of the products had not been ordered correctly. This would have been easily identified and resolved with a follow up call to check details from the sales representative, but this was not done. Therefore, it caused additional delay to the work being finished unfortunately. Now the new windows and doors are in place I have identified an issue with one of the doors which I have flagged with the company, and I am hoping this can be resolved as soon as possible in the new year. Overall, I am very pleased with the finished look and the fitting team always ensured they tidied up before leaving each day, which I appreciated.

On this installation the workmanship was somewhat shoddy, little attention to detail and contractors seemed to be in a rush to complete the installation which ended up with additional return visits to replace faulty materials and correct workmanship which was shoddy.

The initial installation was horrible and a total mess. The company did co.e back to put it right but the hassle and inconvenience of this along with a below average product means I would not recommend them for windows. The customer service was very good though.

Very pleased with the quality of my door and the fitter’s were from and very tidy, they didn’t make any mess at all! Would highly recommend . My only recommendation would be for the fitters or office should make the customer aware how important the tag  that comes with the key’s is. I wasn’t  told and had to go through bags of rubbish to find it so I could order extra keys as they can’t be cut elsewhere.

The installation team arrived on time and made an excellent job which we are very satisfied with.

Sean & Nigel arrived on time to fit my new door & wing window. They completed the work to a high standard, within the estimated time. They kept mess to a minimum and tidied up after. And  took away all the materials removed, leaving a clean & tidy site. I am very pleased with their workmanship.

I am pleased with every part of the job from start to finish, I will certainly recomend them to anyone which I already have.

Had to have a team back to rectify the trim as felt it looked unfinished and aesthetically improvement req’d. Another team came out and sorted the issue and I felt were meticulous with sorting the problem. They also cleaned/silicone polished the door which hadn’t been done by the original team with handling marks and sealant left on parts of the door. I so wished the second team had been assigned the original installation!

Installation Team was prompt, friendly and respectful, knowledgeable .
The surveyor was friendly, polite and explained clearly the options.
Only comment would be the base plate was too narrow , requiring another visit to make good the gap!

We were very happy with the service given ,the team worked efficiently cleaned up well after themselves nothing was too much trouble and despite having a little difficult fitting the patio doors they fitted them with as little disruption as possible 😊

This review is based on the original installation, which was no more than absolutely shocking. The window was installed on a tilt/not level! the brickwork was left a mess with clear silicone filling the gaps they had made.

The door wasnt sealed, air was gushing through the side and the window sill was cut too short and filled with clear silicone. They left the site a complete mess

After complaining and experiencing extremely RUDE customer service they sent out a different installation team who then did an excellent job.

The final result is as expected but the whole experience was absolutely shocking. We were going to use them for many more projects on our house but will not be looking elsewhere

I have received a brilliant service.

Yes – sales are great, installation team is great. I would say admin is lacking – they did give me a date for installation way in advance, but no reminder/confirmation the week before. Then no courtesy call after fitting to ask if everything was ok, just a demand for payment which kept going to my partner although I had asked for the account to be changed into my name several times (it is my house, second purchase from Swad, but my partner did get the original quote). They also didn’t mention that they don’t take the old windows away when they do not remove them – this was a refit but with altered openings so the builder had already removed windows, so extra cost for us to remove. Sales, product and installation good, admin very lacking.

All fine with initial installation and the friendly approach of the fitter but less so with the final follow up to refit the locking mechanism. The work was fine but the customer approach of the fitting team was less so.

The surveyor was professional and really helpful talking us through the products and process. The Installation team were polite, friendly and efficient in installing our windows, doors and patio door. Their timekeeping could not be faulted and they stuck to their installation plan which meant we could prepare the space for the next days work. We would absolutely recommend the company.

Happy with the end result although it took a lot of back and forth to get things sorted with significant delays. The work was carried out in a timely fashion and completed within the quoted timescale, to an excellent standard and for the agreed price. The installation team was first class, flexible and helpful with good communication throughout. The whole process from early discussions through the quotation and pre-installation phase was stress-free and we are delighted with the final product.

We had two windows fitted on the day. Unfortunately, one of the window frames was damaged by the fitter during installation and had to be replaced. This was done on the day, as they were close enough to the factory to order a replacement and fit. The double glazed units had a Georgian pattern, which unfortunately was incorrect on both windows. This resulted in a return visit the next day with the correct units to fit.

Things started off really well, but the installers slacked off at the end. They didn�t apply the necessary sealant around the frame, I had to. They didn�t wipe down the white frames, where they�d used a black mallet to hit the beads in. Installed a double glazing unit with a dust bubble in it. They did come back to correct the work, after highlighting the issues.

The installation team worked hard and effectively through difficult weather conditions and despite this and unexpected additional work completed work ahead of schedule. The door and side windows were delayed, because of quality issues. All outstanding installation issues were satisfactorily and promptly resolved.

Workmanship rated as 9 as some minor finishing off required. Plus installation of spyhole which was missed. Sustainability…difficult to score this section.

A different door was fitted without letting me know. Also, the fitter knew nothing about any chain being added to the front door. He had to go out and get one! Three tiles were loosened in the kitchen where the back door was fitted. New boards also need to be installed in the hall as holes were left.

Over the last few years we have replaced doors, a conservatory and just had all windows, facia, soffit, drainpipes etc. . All done by very professional, friendly and accommodating Swadlincote Windows Team members whom I would recommend to anyone.

Installer caused damage to several bricks and unfortunately didn’t tell us so we’re disappointed but upon us informing the business they came out and assessed the problem and then removed bricks and made good the damage.The service was good.
