From start to finish every aspect was excellent, everything explained thoroughly. Communication excellent and workmanship and product the same.

The door did become stiff and a rogue screw scratched some paintwork off on the lower part of the stable door, but these issues were resolved promptly by the provider.

The product is fine, windows and door all fine. The fitters were excellent, arrived on time, left on time and worked non-stop, left everywhere spotless. The only issue we had was with the office, who seemed to get very confused about who to contact at the property, and despite me giving them the phone number and email address of the tenant, still had me as the contact! I would still recommend them though, excellent standard of work.

Always a first class service & a first class job with superb quality windows & doors.

The company were given multiple times to rectify an upper frame over French doors. The frame is not square and there was a 25mm gap at kn end. This was after making a template at our request so they could make it accurate. The glazing was then wrong. The entire house had the wrong windows and doors finishes made and we accepted an alternative that took a long time to remake. Overall the rest of the finish was good bit it was 4.5 months of total stress. Not good enough for 20k.

This job was funded through a DFG grant. The administration was dire in respect of Birmingham Glass.

Firstly they agreed the payment would be made after works completion. They i was sent an invoice for a deposit. I spoke to a director, who then insisted on a deposit thus changing the borders of what was agreed. Then after that they sent asurveyor out to measure a second time and he came up with a differing set of calculations from the salesman. Talk about double work.

The workmen did nothing but moan about access when thwy arrived, when they knew the area to work in.

I would never book them privately.

I have had 2 external doors fitted, one of them does not keep out the draughts even after being looked at again. Their solution is to put tissue paper in the centre drainage hole and they say no door is draught proof despite the other door doing a good job. I feel intimidated into paying their invoice after being visited by a manager. I am a 70 year old widow who expects a new door to keep out the cold.

This is quite conflicting. When there is an issue, they do not want to be proactive and take responsibility for the issue, but I know that the engineers do their best and I have seen great doors from them. But customer service is another matter. Something to work on, along with the Alunet frame

The final job is of good standard and quality. However getting the job done in a timely manner was a nightmare. Communication is poor within the business. We were told it would take a week. It started 15th July and we’re just getting to completion now.

We were not given any information regarding a choice of obscured glass at the time of survey which we should have been. The workman who attended to fit the windows was exceptional and took time to ensure that the work was done to a high standard,

The communication between the Company, the Estimator, the Surveyor, and the Fitter could be better.

We were pleased with the work but the contractors left a large advertising placard screwed into the wall without asking our permission which we had to remove ourselves and when I emailed to complain they did not reply. I felt this was very poor customer service.

Everything was completed as expected. There was a little bit of work that needed to be done the day after installation, this was completed on time and to the required standard. Very happy with the team and the quality of the installation of the windows. Price was competitive with no loss of quality.

I am really pleased with the end product and how it looks in situ. There are gaps in the service – e.g. I was not told the full length of time for the fitting – how long to remove brickwork, be boarded up and then installation. I was fortunate the contractor removing the bricks applied common sense and expertise and provided me with a way out of the house. I am impressed with how the end product looks but was never told that the doors would be put forward in the walls leaving a 3″ gap in the floor, the window company very quickly resolved this. 1 of the 4 windows replaced had opening windows larger than originals. Installer refused to replace �like with like� as quoted to Managing Agents, or acknowledge error initially.After considerable time, Installer offered very low reduction. Installer was paid by Managing Agents without my agreement. I understand this was because they were threatened with legal action. I do not accept the Installer has acted reasonably in this matter and object to having to complete a survey before accessing the certificate.My original direct complaint on day of installation was ignored, but then follow

Yes I would. This is the fourth time we’ve used Birmingham Glass for doors over three house moves. Good value, friendly staff. However a couple of weeks were wasted from my initial contact by slow communication from Ben and then the order sat in the wrong tray for another four weeks so that was disappointing. Ben did give a small discount as a returning customer. I will use them again once I’ve saved up for a back door.

I suggest that it should be made more explicitly clear at the contract signing stage that the fitting of patio doors does not include the plastering of brickwork exposed by the works.

Exceptional customer service

The workmen were very professional and tidy. Communication between the office and workmen needs to be improved slightly, as glass for the window had to be collected halfway through the installation and when I had my cladding and fascia fitted some of the instructions were not on the fitter’s paperwork. Having said that these issues were quickly rectified by the fitter’s and the installation was completed within the designated time to a high standard.

The glass fitters were tidy and did a good job but the builders who did the lintel left a lot of dust in the house.

Easy to communicate with and the workmen were all very polite and very clean around the house.

I felt I was not kept informed while fitting the windows. The wrong hinges had been fitted and the fitter left the site to get them altered. Has a customer I felt that I should have been told this. Also because of the change in the hinges they had to come back later to fit the glass. I again was not told about this until they was about to put some panels in on a temporary basics.
