They need to work with their suppliers to improve the quality control of the units fitted, thus reducing the number of revisits required to replace faulty units.Reported issues were quickly sorted out, the staff were friendly and always helpful.

The company that made the windows had poor quality control which resulted in the delivery of scratched and dented frames. This resulted in a 3 month delay to completion of the work to the frustration of Swain and Rands and ourselves.

It took three visits and two months for our door to be properly installed. The first time, parts were missing/incorrect and the spyhole was broken on installation. The second time, the new lock fitted was faulty. The third time, it was fixed. We are however very happy with the final, finished product, and the slightly lower customer service rating refers only to our dealings with one specific person from the company – the fitters and manager we spoke to and dealt with throughout the process were all excellent.

The contractors arrived at the expected time, introduced themselves and explained how long the work should take, what access they needed and got to work straight away. They got the work completed quickly and in a professional manner, tied up the work place and gave a full run through of the door operation and how to carry out any minor maintenance. For the first time (after using Swain and Rands on several occasions, including recommending to my Mother), the fitter left some mess, including some concrete stains on our door mat, and also disturbed some bricks on the corners of the windows, telling us we needed to get them re-pointed. We have never had this before, previous work being of the highest quality
