A pleasant experience doing business with Prior Products Ltd

There was a problem with the installation – the doors were not sealing properly and the screws in the sill had been put in really badly. This was all rectified on a second visit but this should not be necessary with a reputable company.
In addition the workmen failed to keep the dust sheet in place resulting in dirt on the carpet which will require professional cleaning. The contractor offered a £150 discount to cover this cost, which we accepted, but again this should not have happened.

The product looks good quality but I was most impressed by the diligence and confidence of the fitter who worked tirelessly and almost without breaks to get the job done.

The two guys who installed our new window and door were fantastic. They had to work in the snow on the install day and just got on with it. Great guys!

3 x visits after fitting to correct install issues. Marks on the handle (replaced) and door scratches. Door did not close properly and needed 2x adjustments by the service engineer which was great. The fitter was lovely but just a shame that it wasn�t in good working order at the start.

Everyone from sales, surveyor and fitter were polite, efficient and professional.

The chap in charge who fitted the window had a problem refitting the roller blind which had to be removed to fit the window. I had to intervene, and show him how to refit it. Would have thought he should have been more knowledgeable regarding this refitting.The plastic strip at the very top of the window behind the blind was removed but not replaced. This gap was then filled with silicone sealant, and we said we would paint the exposed area white, once the silicone had gone off.

Excellent professional service with no issues and all works completed to an excellent standard with little or no mess. Schedule adhered to and any additional minor requests dealt with on site and promptly.

More accurate timings on arrival for fitment date, originally advised the morning and called the office late morning when the contractor hadn’t yet arrived to be told their arrival had changed to lunchtime. Would have preferred it if the contractor had cleared our mats to one side prior to commencing work (I was on crutches so assumed they would do this as a given), also would have appreciated it if the contractor hadn’t have used our newly mounted letterbox to rest his tools on, thankfully the scratches from these are fine enough that they’re not that noticeable.

I company we and other friends and family have used many times in the past 2 decades. A thoroughly reliable and reputable company.

3 day job took 6 days due to no staff available. Late starting each day resulting in me having to phone to chase themwe had to go round at the end of each day and tidy up the garden of sharp pieces of plastic, screws etc due to having children when job was complete, ive phoned with some minor problems, which a week later still have not been addressed.

We are very pleased with the installation. However, we were very disappointed with the continued delays for the installation once we had paid the deposit. The order was placed on the basis our new front door would be installed prior to xmas. We were assured the installation would be completed by 16th December. Unfortunately this did not happen. We also had a further installation date cancelled at short notice. The door was finally completed in early January. The workmanship is excellent.

We’re very pleased with the work. Company were easy to communicate with, turned up when they said they would and did a very neat and tidy job.

Most impressed from the outset with Prior Products. The quote was done almost immediately and fitting was done a few weeks later at a date and time agreed with us in advance. The fitter was careful that any mess was kept to a minimum and even this was carefully cleared away by him on completion. The price was lower than we had expected and we are delighted with the workmanship, the quality of the materials and also with the attitude or all the staff of Prior Products who helped deal with us.We will be delighted to recommend them to others.

There were a couple of mistakes with the glass in the windows. The bathroom window should have had frosted glass but came with clear glass. The frosted glass had been fitted in one of the bedroom windows. We are waiting for the errors to be corrected. They should be carried out on 31st November.Also the workmen unfortunately damaged the kitchen taps when they did the work in the kitchen. They had to lean on the sink to carry out the installation and the taps were damaged.

YesThe finished installation was great, very happy, but the process took 28 weeks from start to finish, largely due to poor communication.

Very professional.

I was concerned to note that when the large window was broken to remove it, the operators were not wearing gloves or safety goggles and small slivers of glass were found in the carpets after the operators left. I was surprised that the carpets were not vacuumed on completion. Also one pane of glass was the wrong size and a temporary fitting was made until the correct one could be fitted a week later.

This is the third time I have selected Prior Products to carry out work on my bungalow windows and patio doors and once again I am very satisfied with the high standard s the fitters have displayed.

The installation team were pleasant, polite and competent, however they were not tidy workers as we had to clear up broken glass and other waste after they left each day. They never wore covers on their boots when entering the house. Other than that issue, we are satisfied with the installation and will probably use Prior Products again.

Workmanship and quality of materials excellent. However, we found the communication poor unless prompted by us. We are also surprised that no representative from Priors came to visit to check we were happy with progress.

We had to call the contractor back twice after the door was fitted the first time to put right faults with the door.

The contractors really struggled with access through our front door marking the plastic weather strip on our door step and also cutting a groove into an oak carpet strip into our lounge. They did the best that they could do but they wondered why the surveyor hadn�t allowed for the overall size of the patio door set that you supplied.

Used this company for years and have been very please also recommended them but this last time the customer service was appalling. The fitters we not a problem, their work overall was good.

Lost marks on tidiness as did find some glass in both front and back garden from the windowsSimilarly for workmanship standards, lost a couple of points as one window fitment did cause a crack in the wall (was rectified with glue like substance) and a tiled was cracked in the en-suite. Overall though good company and would use again in the future.

Installation delayed slightly due to Covid but is of good quality

Product is good but customer service needs improving in certain areas. Attention to detail by Sales and Surveyor led to unnecessary problems and work.

Only one mistake with the wrong glass in one out of 7 windows. This was rectified after a week. I felt the lady in the office could have been more pleasant about miscommunication as to the refitting of the glass.Overall a very tidy job.

The reason for the loss of points on the Customer Service rating is that , whilst we were advised of an extended delivery due to wanting a non standard external colour, we were not told that it would be three months, until after placing an order (based on 5-6 weeks on quote) and paying a deposit. The standard of workmanship was fine but the fitters had insufficient rubber glass seal and missed out a bead of silicon sealant. Hence an additional visit was required by a snagger a few days later.

From start to finish, the staff at Prior Products have been first class. The windows are gorgeous and the service has been excellent. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for new windows.

Used to be the best now the same or worst than the rest

Excellent product and installation. Not the cheapest.

Every person I met was helpful and caring. However it appeared that within the company not everybody was singing from the same hymn sheet.There times when there were no contractors on site, sometimes for 10 or more days. In addition to this it appeared that they were too interested in moving onto their next assignment, ie rushing their work.We started our first on site meeting in late April and the project was finished on 8th August. Far too long.

Rich and Nick did a fantastic job and went out of their way to be extra helpful. The installation was above and beyond our expectations.
