This was the second project with Countryman who are always my first choice for new windows. Their customer service is impeccable. I always feel is safe hands. Thoroughly recommended.

Communication was not great and we felt that it was only our insistence that issues be addressed that resulted in a satisfactory outcome.

Countryman Improvements have installed all the double glazing to replace my old sash windows. I always find them very friendly, respectful and efficient. Highly recommend them.

Communications weren’t perfect, resulting in delays as well as a difficult morning with the fitters, who hadn’t received the message I’d left the previous day. I’m very happy with the final result though.

I�ve used Countryman before. Because of their very good after service care I chose to use them again for this installation.

I’m so disappointed that I’m not able to recommend this firm, I’m always keen to recommend local businesses. Sadly there was a lengthy delay in getting the products, there were then issues around the fitting and despite chasing numerous times to get the work finished I was largely ignored. Only when I suggested that we should reach an alternative settlement did they respond and then take the steps required to finish the work to a satisfactory standard. I sincerely hope that lessons were learned through our case study.

Sadly, there was a profound design flaw with these windows that affected a number of installations I understand. The clips that hold the weights snapped. The windows could not stay open all Summer. Other errors also occurred. I’m glad that the contractor continued to revisit the property until the job was completed and the design flaw eventually resolved and repaired but… the owner and I did not have a meeting of minds regarding compensation for the numerous additional times, effort and inconvenience imposed on me. The job started in July 2023 and the last details remedied in January 2024. I

I chose this contractor as I liked the design of the windows and the price was reasonable. However, there was an issue with the contractor’s supplier at the time of ordering, so windows and other items for the windows/door were not the correct size at the time of fitting and had to be sent back (some items more than once). I had to wait over a year for some things to be rectified as a result of this.The contractor has now changed supplier and hopefully things will run more smoothly in future.The workmen were very pleasant and I would use this company again in future.

The supplier of the windows made several errors with the order and so time elapsed before the windows were eventually fitted and errors rectified.

There were a few issues with the installation but they sorted them out quickly in a second visit.

Great process from start to finish, great communication and were very accommodating to our needs.

The majority of the work done was good in the end but not all was satisfactory and on the service side the estimated timeframes were out which interfered with other work. Overall the service could have been beeter, we felt we did a lot of chasing and explaining things over etc.

Had to get them back to sort out the sealant and round all windows but once done it was a good job.Had to chase them several times for things but the fitters were timely and polite

After the initial meeting the communication with the contractor was terrible. We had to do the chasing for updates were always cut off mid-sentence when on the calls and then were told we hadn�t given answers to things we hadn�t even been told they were waiting for. There were also major delays on delivery of the windows (around 8 weeks after the date agreed impacting other building work we were having done) – again we were not updated on why this was initially and then the second delay was apparently due to a quality control issue at the manufacturer. There were some issues after installation which were resolved fairly quickly.

Having initially approached many other contractors, Countryman were head and shoulders above all the others in terms of service, positive attitude, helpfulness, attentiveness, communication, explanations, product and installation. They are thoroughly recommended.

Very effecient and helpful staff that went the extra mile to rectify and issue identified during the installation. Tidy workers and very polite.

Had a poor experience with Countryman. Severe delays (Quoted 8 weeks – took 9 months!). Lack of communication and poor execution when finally came to install. Lacked ability to take responsibility for actions (or lack of). No advanced notice of ‘prompt payment’ system and gave me a matter of hours to pay remaining balance. Saving grace was offering free window board upgrade but overall a very disappointing experience.

Main job was done efficiently and too timescale, with no fuss. Some snagging issues were left and eventually dealt with but had to call back a couple of times to get them properly resolved as not everything done on each occasion – hence 7 score for workmanship.

1) The performance of the installer fell below expectations.2) There was a flaw in the window which I was initially told did not qualify for a replacement > I was obliged to direct their attention to the appropriate section of their manual to prove that the flaw did qualify for a replacement.3) My date of birth shown is clearly incorrect.

Took a lot longer than expected and quite a number of things had to be pointed out and redone.

Countryman installed windows and one of the windows was flawed. Without fuss and without request, they immediately saw there was a problem and arranged to replace the scratched window and fitted it when they said they would. They have been straightforward to deal with and the windows look as I had hoped. I would be happy to use them again.

Great service and product.

We would have given all ten out of ten scores, but the sales person did not take on board one of our specific instructions. This caused a lot of inconvenience. We still have a couple of snagging issues, which will hopefully soon be resolved. Belinda in the office has been very helpful.

The organisation of the window installation was not quite to plan as the contractor had to come back on various occasions to rectify errors/mistakes made by their or their suppliers own doing. However they were very good about this and made it right on every occasion with no real hassle to us and completed all work To a high standard.

Very happy. Didn’t like the window look for 1930’s house on the first quote so Kieran took time to show me alternative which was much more suitable, albeit more expensive. When I first went to look at the house following instal I thought it was still the original Crittal windows. (Not black as current trend!) Great work.

The end product looks and feels great, however significant issues with the installation process and team undermined our overall rating/ recommendation. Based on our experience together we’d suggest the contractor:- reviews its quality control and operational processes so that it knows that the products ordered (in our case – acoustic glass) have been correctly manufactured and delivered, so that their teams do not install the wrong glass without telling us, until we raised it.- checks staff have basic competencies required to perform installations without causing new/ additional damage to customers property.As the only local installer of Roseview Ultimate uPVC sash windows, constructive feedback/ ratings may not matter, but we hope it’s a chance to reflect and do better for others
