Refurb-a-Sash has made and installed all my double-glazed windows over the years. It is a great company to deal with.

As you can see, a very satisfactory experience.

Everything was good – the sales, estimating, ordering process. The opportunity to visit the workshop and showroom to make choices of ironmongery, plus links to choices from preferred suppliers online. And then when work started at the house, all was handled well, good communication and involving us as clients in decisions being made as the 120-year old windows and frames came out and the secrets of our home’s construction history were revealed! The only criticism was that the old window frame was dumped in our skip rather than being taken away by the contractor.

I spent �14, 000 with this contractor and they failed to notice a rotten wooden sill and blamed it on me when we were trying to repair and repaint the masonry sill when it was discovered (after installation of new sashes to an existing frame). They took no responsibility for not checking the sill properly and were going to charge me �340 plus VAT for a new sill. I think after all the money I’d spent with them and how much I was messed around with installation dates changing, they might have done this for free or offered a discount as a gesture of good will. My slightly lower rating for timekeeping was because the work overran by 2 days taking it over a weekend without a comfortable living room.

Refurb-a -sash were outstanding in all areas, a wonderful cohesive team with great craftsmanship, care, expert knowledge, guidance, and outstanding execution of the work.

Had issues with the paint on the sill but very responsive to remedying.Paint colour on outside was also wrong and remedied in situ – a little concerned that won’t be as resilient as done in the factory after sill issues.

The surveyor could have been more polite and considerate when booking in the date of the install. Everything else was perfect however.
