I was surprised that the door has just 2 hooks to lock the door. I have only ever seen 4 or 5 on uPVC doors. I saw the 2 hooks only after the door was installed.The wooden frame sealing in the uPVC frame on the inside of the house doesn’t seem to be of good quality – has lots of knots.

Percy and Jason were very pleasant and worked very hard, sometimes with long days, to make sure the job was completed. Happy with the look of the new windows and the fit looks good. Unfortunately the windows amplify the sounds from the outside, so not happy with the quality. Had a visit from Mark Wright, who represented Choice Windows, the supplier of the panes, who agreed the noise from outside was being amplified and suggested this may be due to the argon gas inside. Said that is why he, personally, wouldn’t have this type in his own home! We are looking at ways to overcome this noise nuisance, which we thought the double glazing would overcome.

Whilst the contractor was friendly and well meaning, there were some issues after installation and communication in resolving these issues was poor/slow. In addition I had not been made aware prior to installation that the old wooden window architrave would be removed, not replaced with similar and that I would have to get rid of the old architrave myself (at an additional cost to me), nor that the new frames would need additional work doing on them (ie sanding and decoration) which was also an additional cost.

Completed all work in a day. Very tidy no mess outside or in. As it was during covid pandemic masks worn at all times. Very pleasant and a pleasure to do business with.
