The doorway, into which the new door was fitted, was not square but proved to be no problem for the contractor. The whole job was concluded in about 2 hours by a team of friendly, cheerful and polite fitters. The product itself is a far more superior item than the one it replaced and has transformed our hall into a bright, warmer and airy space.

Primary installation was good, but they failed to respond at all to an after-installation complaint of a sealer failing to dry. As a result I was forced to rectify the fault myself. The company lost interest in me once I had paid.

We were very disappointed with the installation. A job which was programmed for two days took 4 months to complete. Kayvex were not proactive in chasing progress, so it was down to us to constantly phone the company and push for the installation to be completed. Windows were supplied with incorrect design, despite us making it clear to the salesman the design features we required, as the house is in a conservation area. We will not use Kayvex again for any future work.

The windows and doors are hopefully of good quality but the installation which I was told would take 3 days in fact took a month to complete

The initial installation was a problem which was dealt with professionally by Kayvex.I am very pleased with the end result.

The fitters were only given two days to replace 7 windows, front and back doors, and French doors with knock outs.
This should have been allow at least 4 days. Unfortunately the french doors side lights were incorrectly made in the factory, and didn’t fit.  And ended up taking 2 months to finish the job.

The windows look good, the installers were fairly tidy, and the specific issues, damaged frame and marked glazing, originated with Kayvex suppliers not them. However their admin was haphazard resulting in approximately 6 hours work requiring 6 appointments (one of which was cancelled due to product not arriving) and 2 months in total for the job to be completed.

Did not get back to office to arrange for plasterer to finish off interior walls. Neither did they get in touch with the waste removal contractor. We had to phone Kayvex as a complaint had been put regarding rubbish sack being left in road.

Wayne the fitter was brilliant and completed the job in really poor weather conditions. We had a miscommunication when he was due to come back to complete the sealing process as this couldn’t be done with the weather but that was sorted in the end. Had an issue with the handle and lock on the front door but that has also been sorted really quickly so thank you.

The timeline of the installation was very long due to the unavailability of a surveyor and then of the door no being delivered from the manufacturer.This did not stop the company demanding payment.The installers arrived on time ( early in fact) on the delayed date and were very professional doing a great job

Complete nightmare windows measured incorrectly  fitted wrong unnecessary damage holes to be filled  and painted then windows remeasured reordered and refitted stained the outside wall from all the foam he used it is a leasehold building lack of communication took just under a year to sort out a lot of stress and worry if done properly first would have been completed with in a week

Efficient, tidy, and friendly

After waiting 5 months to have my windows fitted has been a very stressful experience for me and left me feeling very vulnerable as a woman on her own. The lack of communication between the salesperson and the customer is very poor, not keeping the customer informed of what is going on. The workers did nothing but complain about the stairs and the height . They do a lot of Bungalows which are on ground level I suppose. Would not recommend to a friend as she had watched what has been going on with me.

If I tell you I almost entirely stopped dealing with Kayvex directly, and would only communicate via a senior management person at Britannia (in order to reach a satisfactory conclusion with our order and installation) I think that says it all!

Improved communication would have made for a better overall experience – all dates when work was scheduled were proactively booked by us via phone with the office, including follow up calls necessary to complete the job.Reliability was poor on 2 separate occasions when the fitter did not turn up (on the original date scheduled, we were only informed at 9.20am on the day of fitting that it would not take place due to the wrong glass being delivered – Ben lost a whole day’s work/pay on this date. normally the admin staff are very good, this time, we had phone for information each time as we were not kept informed of anything.

The only reason for the lower scores was that it took a very long time from signing the contract to having the work completed (we do appreciate that two of the windows were bespoke) but we had to keep chasing up to find out what was happening. But now we are so happy with our new windows and front door!

In the first instance some of the windows were incorrect causing a delay to the project. Damage by the contractor was not admitted to and they just left without fixing it. The sales rep George was really nice and helpful. However I found on the whole the company very difficult to deal with especially office staff

The sales process was fine, but as soon as things went wrong (door frame delivered had the door opening in the wrong place), we had to do all the progressing with the salesman and the office for a replacement and the frequent answer was “we are very busy”. The surveyor admitted the fault was his and said the replacement would be ordered quickly and installation should be around 2 weeks, as it was a replacement. The surveyor went on holiday before placing the order. The office could not access the documents to place the order. The installation was finally finished eight and a half weeks later

Fitters great, administratively poor, I was nagged for 2 weeks for payment for the final invoice, which I had paid immediately�apparently lost my payment?!

Rob, worked hard to fit my door, the door needed adjustment as it was measured incorrectly!! This is no reflection on the fitter, more the chap who came out to measure! I am hoping that I don�t have leaks as the double glazed door had to be cut to fit!! I was hoping for a snug fitting New Kitchen Door. Winter will be the test for this Door!! Again, my thanks to Rob, an incredibly brilliant job done.

Job was delayed by a day as they had a problem with another job which ran on a day. But other than that am very happy.

The installation took nearly 6 months to complete. The initial workmanship was very poor and had to be rectified by another fitter. The original fitters were at best incompetent with broken glass panes, poor fitting of the frames and many items either incorrect or missing. We were promised a 2 week turn round by it has taken nearly 6 months to rectify all of the faults. Nearly every window was poorly fitted. Despite visits to the showrooms and emails they did eventually come out to see the issues and accepted them in full.

I was not happy with the first fitter that fitted my door, but the second fitter was perfect, couldn�t be happy with him and a Credit to the company.

Having paid a deposit of 30% and expected to pay the balance once installation was complete but I was chased for an interim payment of 60% a week before installation and then a final payment 0f 10% the day before installation. I cannot recall that this payment schedule was explained when I agreed to the purchase. I paid the final amount the day after installation but the following day I received a further request to pay it , saying it was outstanding. Asked for two windows to be replaced and a new door to be fitted to the porch, despite repeated reminders we only ever received quotes for the two windows. We have now got another company to quote and install the porch door.The standard of the installation was generally OK once the snagging work had been completed.

The windows and front door took 3 months to come in. When they were fitted, one of the panes of glass was marked and none of the front door furniture matched – the drip bar was chrome and the letter plate and front door handle were each a different shade of satin.To get these issues resolved, it took 3 appointments and another 3 months! Not good enough.

My last windows were installed by Kayvex 38 years ago,I had a few quotes for replacements & Kayvex were still very competitive so I decided to stay with them for my new windows. So far I am very pleased with the results

The initial installation was very poor with draughty, noisy windows. After trying many small alterations they eventually accepted that the windows needed to be refitted and the correct amount of insulation installed. 2yrs later they are finally in, not perfect but acceptable. The stress and constant battle over the past 2yrs has taken its toll and I would not recommend them to anyone.

There were a couple of problems which were remedied ASAP and very pleased with my folding doo.

The after-care service was not very good. We had a cracked pane of glass and had to have 3 planned visits to have it replaced, once the wrong size, one broken in transit, etc. etc.We had to chase up each time.

This job was substantially delayed from ordering at the end of July to the eventual installation earlier this week (23rd November) However, this was due to circumstances outside Kayvex’s control and resulted from Covid affecting supply chain for raw materials. But the end result is excellent and we are delighted with our new exterior front door.

I would like to add that I would highly recommend the contractor for this work. They kept us up to date with times for fitting and the fitters were professional and efficient and left the place tidy and clean. I would gladly recommend their services.

We have answered NO to the question of recommendation because as of today’s date, 11th April 2022, the installation has not been completed to our satisfaction. The windows and door which we ordered are of a very good standard but the installation was carried out by fitters we feel were probably inexperienced and mistakes were made resulting in the work carried out lacking the quality expected. Several visits were made to put things right but we are still awaiting final completion of an acceptable standard .

Exactly what they say they will do, gets done. Slight delay at the beginning for the doors to arrive however I was advised at the outset that the current climate is not the quickest for materials. Once arrived they were fitted with 24-48 hours from product being ready.

During the initial installation, the workmen did not fit the door correctly and I was unable to use the key to open the front door and was subsequently locked out of my home. I had to scale the 6 foot fence to get into the rear garden and climb through the kitchen window to gain access. As the office was now closed for the day, I had to make the necessary adjustments to the door locks and hinges myself. I am 62 and this should not have happened.

Kayvex are a great company for replacement windows. They replaced all our windows in the main house. They provided a friendly and professional level of service in all areas. The windows seem to be good quality (no issues after 6 months) and look great.

Pleased with the final installation, however, final work was completed after 4 months instead of the planned 3 days. This was because there were not enough seals on commencement of installation. Further seals ordered were still not enough to complete the job and more had to be ordered. Also, the back door had to be refitted due to it being 6mm out of position. The front door did not have the letterbox as ordered.

Despite a long conversation with a representative from the company regarding our requirements, this was not fully understood resulting in a product we did not really want. It took 6 months for one of the three windows to be completed, as there was a burn mark on the frame (which the installer explained was probably from a drill when it was first installed) A new window was brought to the house twice and was the wrong size both times. Third time lucky and the window was the correct size, but this was 6 months after the original installation. Communication was patchy whilst trying to get this sorted too. Frustrating experience throughout,and we were also chased for the final deposit payment before the work was completed (for the final window which was damaged)
