Did not meet timelines as discussed at contract signing. Very poor communication and unprofessional and threatened with legal action when we raised a formal complaint. Subsequent window inspection by another company showed poorly chosen window pane.

The original mistake was measuring a window incorrectly (twice) which is understandable, but they were then difficult to deal with and repeatedly informed me the fitters would fix a hole they made in the roof on their next visit (fitting a correctly sized window), but on all occasions the fitters had no knowledge of the roof issue. The boss eventually visited to discuss it and was rude, either lied or was misinformed, and was quite threatening. I'm glad it was me here on the day and not my partner as I suspect they would have been too intimidated to argue. They did eventually fix the window and roofing.

Communication and the management are clearly the problem here as 6 out of 8 window fittings went well and the majority of window fitters themselves were friendly and competent.

Easy to deal with, helpful and the installation was first class.

I'm disappointed by the extent of the guarantee - I had though the guarantee would be 10 yrs for all aspects of the product and the workmanship (as opposed to only 1 yr for the locking mechanism, 5 yrs for the IGU, and 2 yrs for the workmanship). I feel this should have been made clear at the start.

I'm also a bit surprised I haven't been given an energy rating certificate for the doors, although to be fair, this wasn't discussed/promised.

End fitting was very good. There was an issue with the doors opening the wrong way, but Silvertree prompt to come back and rectify with the manufacturer, so happy with their service.

The quote was competitive and communication was straightforward. Surveyor and fitters knew what they were talking about and answered all my questions. Communication could have been better re. window pane dimensions and sight lines as 'like for like' resulted in some changes to the original layout, but everything looks OK in the end.

Professional and friendly staff. Work carried out within timescales. Tony, the fitter was excellent.

All staff at Silvertree were very friendly and helpful. Very efficient and tidy, wouldn't have known they'd been there.

Very happy with the design, the product, the price, the designer and installers, but erratic communication between us and the office - and installers and the office - caused delays and frustration, after the initial replacement of a large, double-glazed living-room window with a triple-glazed one in January left us with two cracked panes at the top . The second of these was finally replaced at the end of March. Staff were pleasant and very apologetic, and despite our mixed experience we would be willing to give Silvertree the benefit of the doubt and use them again!

Some issues with customer service

The contractor initially made some mistakes with the measurements of the door, but they rectified them free-of-charge and as swiftly as they could given the global shortage of material. The two men who performed the fitting were friendly, polite and efficient. The quality of the work appears very high.

Product was damaged when first installed. Took 3 months before it was rectified. Manager was rude when the called to inspect the issues.

We only had 1 fitter who fitted 3 large windows on his own which we felt was quite dangerous having to drag a window over our extension and drop 1 window slowly down onto our patio , this was not the fitters fault , we just felt it was unsafe ! We did express our concerns to Silver Tree.

Problems with door mechanisms but was sorted eventually.
