Our only gripe was trying to phone them if we had a query which was very difficult as there was only ever an answer phone. I always emailed in the end which seemed to be the answer. This didn’t seem very professional & according to the people working on our property it was the same for them. The workforce I couldn’t fault so I suppose that is the main thing & we are very pleased with the finished work.
Contacting by phone is not always available but a text messages are sent
With reference to the contractor office – they never answer the phone, and the only way to find out information is to go to the head office phone number.
With reference to the contractors window fitter – he could not have been more helpful, friendly, and tidy. His workmanship could not be faulted.
There was a small fault with the window, and I would request that he is available to rectify it when the replacement part arrives.
Very nice guy would highly recommend and want to use him again for our other windows next year, thank you

The installer did an excellent job, and took the trouble to put right a problem with an external door previously installed by the same company, which I had been complaining about for a long time.

I’ve contacted Rodda and Hocking by phone and email to complain but had NO communication back. Terrible!
The installers work was exceptionally unobtrusive, clean and tidy.
3 lovely men arrived on time. Worked quietly and efficiently. Finished very quickly and left absolutely no mess. Delighted with them and with our new windows and door.

The product itself is fine. The sales process was easy. However when it came to installation, one of the windows had been ordered in the wrong size (the surveyor had entered the height and width the wrong way around). I didn’t actually get a call to apologise from Rodda & Hocking and had to chase this up myself. When the re-installation was arranged, the installer told me he’d have to “blow it out” as he couldn’t find anywhere to park. So I would recommend the company but with a caveat that the installation process isn’t as smooth as it should have been.

Great from start to finish
It did take a while for the actual installation after the order was placed but the workmanship was worth the wait
The work of installing the windows was done efficiently and professionally. The workers were quiet and cared about my home. I am extremely pleased with the finished windows.

Took a long time to fit a letterbox to the door but eventually sorted
It took 3 attempts to install the window and a lot of chasing from my end. The final product which although looks good from the outside does not look great inside. There are obvious draughts already at the bottom and the top of the window has been placed above where the ceiling will be, so when we put in the ceiling it could potentially block the ventilation slide. Supporting pieces of wood which were used to install were left behind and there was no attempt to tidy up the roughedges of the internal walls which they hammered bricks out to make room for the window. Didn’t bother to contact them again as I do not want to deal with them ever again !!
I have not been given any warranty certificate or confirmation what is covered or for how long. Initial install was abandoned after installing ill fitting windows. Installers said that windows had been measured incorrectly. Surveyor came out and confirmed measurements were ok and that an extra panel could be fitted to make it fit. Company refused a remake. Another couple of installers returned and took out window after noticing that the original fitting was not in place correctly and the window was bowing. I’ve been left with broken plaster under window which is not easy to fix as radiato
A very good contractor. I would thoroughly recommend him to anyone. He took care in what he was doing and was respectful and approachable. He did an excellent job in removing my old door and installing my new door. Thank you so much to everyone involved.
The fitters were brilliant. The scheduling dept however are a different matter. The fitters were obviously not given enough time for the fitting, they were pulled off onto another job halfway through yet when they asked for help they got none. There was no contact from the office to advise they were sent to another job, a phone call would have been appreciated.

I have a mixed experience of this contractor, some of which was excellent, some of which was disappointing and some of which fell below my expectations.

Failure to correctly advise time scales and cancelling agreed installation dates was not the best way to inspire confidence in the product and/or company. Installers were good but the service prior to this was flawed .
Very friendly office staff , surveyors and engineers. Error made on first visit to assess requirements and price picked up by Surveyor. To be fair, original engineer conceded his error and honoured the original quote, so all good.Had to wait longer than expected for installation – quote accepted in July but installation not until October. Some minor pieces missing at initial install so had to wait again for those. The sales person had little understanding of the product by insisting there was no choice of internal colour, we discovered that colour choice was possible via the catalogue and contacted the company to make a colour change. Incorrect details for door, corrected during survey. The installation went badly, incorrect door, fitter dropped glass damaging my home, no visit from the installation manager in branch to rectify. Finally resolved through Brittania Windows litigation manager.

Installers were very good, the installation date was changed about 3 times due to the Office requesting date changes which was rather disappointing.
