Some issues relating to 1 or 2 of their subcontractors (reliability, standard of work, responding to communication).

They were very good. We thought it would all be competed in the suggested 4 days and perhaps did not realise this did not include the time for the ceiling to be plastered, so all in all, it took a total of 3 weeks to be done rather than 4 days. But this may have been our misunderstanding.

Donris Ltd did an excellent job in replacing two old Velux windows with new ones. The initial survey to inspect the work required was very thorough and a very good explanation given of the product options available and the timescales for the work. The replacement of both windows was completed in one day and the fitters were professional, friendly, competent, efficient and very tidy. The plastering was also completed in one day and again this was excellent work, very neatly and tidily finished.

Right from my initial enquiry I have been met with first class service. The workman were very informative and helpful and certainly very clean and tidy.

Team from Donris were excellent - the job was more complex than they had anticipated, and Day 1 was very hard going. They worked extremely hard and got things done. The job took longer than anticipated but communication was good throughout, with the team on site and the Donris office. Plasterer and electrician (sub-contractors) were also focused and efficient - the plastering in particular is really good. My only slight reservation concerned the roofing sub-contractor. I'm sure his work will be weatherproof, but I would have preferred a more generous overlap onto the original roofing felt, as some wear to the latter had inevitably occurred around the unit during installation. I tried to mention this but he didn't really listen. Overall a really good job with that minor reservation.

building work good. Paperwork poor - receipts for deposit & final payment should be routine (received neither). So easy to rectify!
